The hundreds of churches of Rome

We do not know exactly how many churches there are in Rome,  but there are hundreds of them, many of them worthwhile to visit.

The St. Peter's is considered to be by far the largest and most famous of the Churches of Rome. Many do not realise that this church is not actually in Rome, but in Vatican City! The world famous Pietà by Michelangelo and Bernini's Square alone are more then enough reason to visit this church.

Visit also the other Three Arch basilics of Rome! The San Giovanni in Laterano, Santa Maria Maggiore and San Paolo fuori le Mura. These beautiful churches all have a distinguished papal altar, a papal seat and a Holy Door, which is only opened by the pope and only in a Holy Year.

But the many smaller churches in Rome are also real treasures. Visit with your guide churches like the San Clemente or the San Luigi dei Francesi and you won't be disappointed

We zijn net terug van een ontzettende leuke en leerzame rondleiding. Wat een kennis en wat een leuke verhalen. We hadden een rondleiding door het Colosseum en Forum Romanum. Zeer de moeite waard. We weten je te vinden Eline als we weer naar Rome gaan! Groetjes Sandy en Lida.

Nogmaals heel hartelijke dank voor de voortreffelijke rondleidingen van vorige week! We hebben er van genoten hoe je de oudheid tot leven hebt gebracht!

Beste Eline,
We willen je bij deze nogmaals hartelijk danken voor de gidstoer. Het was voor ons echt een meerwaarde bij ons bezoek aan deze prachtige stad. Het was een boeiende toer op maat met veel interessante weetjes die we niet snel zullen vergeten. Om te herhalen!

Wij zijn op 9 juni 2013 met Eline naar het Collosseum en het Forum Romanum geweest. Wat weet zij veel! En ze vertelt op een duidelijke en vlotte manier. Ze lardeert haar verhaal met allerlei annekdotes. Voor ons was het een echte belevenis en in elk geval veel beter dan een Italiaan(se) die probeert Engels of Duits te spreken. Een echte aanrader dus.
