The hundreds of churches of Rome

We do not know exactly how many churches there are in Rome,  but there are hundreds of them, many of them worthwhile to visit.

The St. Peter's is considered to be by far the largest and most famous of the Churches of Rome. Many do not realise that this church is not actually in Rome, but in Vatican City! The world famous Pietà by Michelangelo and Bernini's Square alone are more then enough reason to visit this church.

Visit also the other Three Arch basilics of Rome! The San Giovanni in Laterano, Santa Maria Maggiore and San Paolo fuori le Mura. These beautiful churches all have a distinguished papal altar, a papal seat and a Holy Door, which is only opened by the pope and only in a Holy Year.

But the many smaller churches in Rome are also real treasures. Visit with your guide churches like the San Clemente or the San Luigi dei Francesi and you won't be disappointed

Hele leuke enthousiaste vrouw die met haar achtergrond echt over elke straat iets kan vertellen. Ik schrijf nooit een review maar dit is echt de moeite waard. Tnx Eline en wij bellen je bij het volgende tripje naar Rome zeker weer. Mvg Roy

Beste Eline, we hebben genoten van jouw enthousiasme over het Colosseum, het antieke Rome en als afsluiter Vaticaanstad. Met onze 4 kinderen tussen 10 en 16 jaar heb je ons allemaal weten te boeien. Een mooie herinnering!! Bedankt familie van Steen

Hoi Eline,

Bedankt voor de super rondleiding bij het Colosseum en Forum Romanum tijdens de herfstvakantie 2012. We hebben genoten van een fantastische rondleiding - onze meiden 8-14 jaar - waren zeer geboeid. Zeker niet willen missen. We kunnen je zeker aanbevelen!

We hebben Eline 3 dagen als gids in Rome gehad en dat is ons prima bevallen. Wij kunnen Eline aanraden als persoonlijke gids in Rome. Veel kennis, feiten, verhalen, etc. die je tot je krijgt tijdens het ontdekken van Rome.

Hallo Eline,

Tijn (van 7 jaar oud) en ik hebben ontzettend genoten van ons bezoek aan Rome mede dankzij jouw rondleiding bij het Colosseum en Forum Romanum. Toen onze tocht van 3 uur voorbij was en jij weer weg liep zei Tijn tegen mij: mama, is die drie uur nu al voorbij? Ik wil nog wel drie uur meT haar rondlopen. Als dat geen compliment is van een 7 jarige!

Bedankt voor alles (inclusief al je tips voor leuke restaurantjes ed. Daar hebben we ook dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt!)
