The hundreds of churches of Rome

We do not know exactly how many churches there are in Rome, but there are hundreds of them, many of them worthwhile to visit.

The St. Peter's is considered to be by far the largest and most famous of the Churches of Rome. Many do not realise that this church is not actually in Rome, but in Vatican City! The world famous Pietà by Michelangelo and Bernini's Square alone are more then enough reason to visit this church.

Visit also the other Three Arch basilics of Rome! The San Giovanni in Laterano, Santa Maria Maggiore and San Paolo fuori le Mura. These beautiful churches all have a distinguished papal altar, a papal seat and a Holy Door, which is only opened by the pope and only in a Holy Year.

But the many smaller churches in Rome are also real treasures. Visit with your guide churches like the San Clemente or the San Luigi dei Francesi and you won't be disappointed

Hoi Eline,
Het klopt wat ze hier allemaal over jou vertellen, we hebben hetzelf mogen ervaren hoe goed en spontaan jij bent in jou hobby/werk, nogmaals we hebben genoyen van de drie trips die wij met jou hebben mogen maken, Fiets, Collosseum en natuurlijk het het Vativaan en wat daar allemaal bijhoort.

Heel erg bedankt voor de prachtige rondleiding over het Colloseum en het Forum Romanum. Je hebt ons en onze kinderen (16, 13 en 11 jaar) heel erg weten te boeien. We zijn een heel stuk wijzer geworden over het leven van de Romeinen. Een fantastische middag!

Hallo Eline,

Tijn (van 7 jaar oud) en ik hebben ontzettend genoten van ons bezoek aan Rome mede dankzij jouw rondleiding bij het Colosseum en Forum Romanum. Toen onze tocht van 3 uur voorbij was en jij weer weg liep zei Tijn tegen mij: mama, is die drie uur nu al voorbij? Ik wil nog wel drie uur meT haar rondlopen. Als dat geen compliment is van een 7 jarige!

Bedankt voor alles (inclusief al je tips voor leuke restaurantjes ed. Daar hebben we ook dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt!)
