The hundreds of churches of Rome

We do not know exactly how many churches there are in Rome,  but there are hundreds of them, many of them worthwhile to visit.

The St. Peter's is considered to be by far the largest and most famous of the Churches of Rome. Many do not realise that this church is not actually in Rome, but in Vatican City! The world famous Pietà by Michelangelo and Bernini's Square alone are more then enough reason to visit this church.

Visit also the other Three Arch basilics of Rome! The San Giovanni in Laterano, Santa Maria Maggiore and San Paolo fuori le Mura. These beautiful churches all have a distinguished papal altar, a papal seat and a Holy Door, which is only opened by the pope and only in a Holy Year.

But the many smaller churches in Rome are also real treasures. Visit with your guide churches like the San Clemente or the San Luigi dei Francesi and you won't be disappointed

We zijn net terug van een ontzettende leuke en leerzame rondleiding. Wat een kennis en wat een leuke verhalen. We hadden een rondleiding door het Colosseum en Forum Romanum. Zeer de moeite waard. We weten je te vinden Eline als we weer naar Rome gaan! Groetjes Sandy en Lida.

Bedankt voor de plezierige rondleiding Eline - dankzij je niet aflatende enthousiasme zijn we allemaal met andere ogen naar het Vaticaan gaan kijken. Heel interessant! We hadden het niet willen missen. Hartelijks, namens ons zevenen, Jos.

Beste Eline

Hartelijk dank voor de leuke, leerzame en gezellige rondleiding op het Forum en Colosseum. Zelfs Eva (12) die niets moest hebben van die oude stenen was drie uur een geboeid luisteraar. Ook je tip voor de lunchlocatie was top!
Verder was het overslaan van die lange rijen bij het Colosseum een extra bonus.

Hartelijk bedankt voor je rondleiding eind April ! Het was een grote en diverse groep en ik vind het knap dat je jong en oud hebt kunnen boeien. We bellen je graag voor een volgende keer.

Wat ontzettend leuk om twee keer met jou op pad te gaan tijdens ons weekend in Rome. Je voelde onze groep goed aan en wist ons alle acht te boeien van begin tot het eind. Nuchter, enthousiast, én gevoel voor humor, daar houden wij wel van! Ook mede door jouw tips voor ons verdere verblijf hebben wij een super mooie tijd gehad.
