The hundreds of churches of Rome

We do not know exactly how many churches there are in Rome, but there are hundreds of them, many of them worthwhile to visit.

The St. Peter's is considered to be by far the largest and most famous of the Churches of Rome. Many do not realise that this church is not actually in Rome, but in Vatican City! The world famous Pietà by Michelangelo and Bernini's Square alone are more then enough reason to visit this church.

Visit also the other Three Arch basilics of Rome! The San Giovanni in Laterano, Santa Maria Maggiore and San Paolo fuori le Mura. These beautiful churches all have a distinguished papal altar, a papal seat and a Holy Door, which is only opened by the pope and only in a Holy Year.

But the many smaller churches in Rome are also real treasures. Visit with your guide churches like the San Clemente or the San Luigi dei Francesi and you won't be disappointed

Hoi Eline, wat hebben we genoten. De drie dagen dat we met jou als gids door Rome zijn gegaan waren fantastisch, wat weet je toch veel over Rome en alle kunstwerken, hoe je erover praat was zeer boeiend en interessant.. Bedankt voor alles, top geregeld !!!

Eline, dank je voor de geweldige dag die je ons hebt bezorgd. Colosseum, het Forum, een perfecte lunchlocatie en sightseeing per golfkarretjes. Het was voor de hele groep echt heel leerzaam en leuk. Nog een berichtje van ons.. We hebben het super gehad in Rome. Ondanks de hitte hebben we een geweldige ochtend gehad met mooie geschiedenis verhalen van jou.. Top gedaan..! Je krijgt van ons allemaal de groeten en misschien tot een volgende keer in Rome.

Wat ontzettend leuk om twee keer met jou op pad te gaan tijdens ons weekend in Rome. Je voelde onze groep goed aan en wist ons alle acht te boeien van begin tot het eind. Nuchter, enthousiast, én gevoel voor humor, daar houden wij wel van! Ook mede door jouw tips voor ons verdere verblijf hebben wij een super mooie tijd gehad.
